Nokia has finally announced their latest Symbian^3 smartphone, the Nokia E7 on the Nokia World event. This phone is basically a lot like the Nokia N8 without the dazzling 12 mega pixel camera. It is a rather complicating making two different phones with similar specification and we spent hours to unveil the differences between both devices.
Both Symbian^3 monster has many feature in common like new homescreen, social features, new Nokia Messaging, Ovi Store and Ovi Maps, threaded SMS view, image and video editing. On the hardware section they both also have the same CPU, RAM size, on board sensors, Digital Dolby Plus capability and it even comes with the same color variant.
However, there are also main differences like the E7 has a larger 4?screen with new ClearBlack Display technology on top of the AMOLED screen, larger internal storage, bagful of apps bundled (QuickOffice Premium, Microsoft Communicator and others), though it features HDMI out port and USB on-the-go but Nokia do not include the connector cables like they did in Nokia N8.
The differences continue to the lack FM transmitter, micro SD slot and 2mm charging slot. In body measurement, the E7 is off course larger and heavier than Nokia N8. The phone also has only 8 mega pixel non Carl Zeiss camera fixed focus, no xenon flash, and no ambient audio recording while the N8 has 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss sensor, a Xenon Flash and auto focus. So, where will you lean your choice to?
